Do I have to download the app to redeem School Dollars?
No, you can redeem School Dollars through the online Redemption Website. Downloading the Hannaford Helps Schools app makes future School Dollar redemption even easier because it saves your information and the school you want to support.
Can I bring School Dollars to my school for redemption?
Some school leaders or PTAs may choose to collect and redeem School Dollars brought into the school. Because this may vary, please connect with the person or team managing the program at your school. To ensure your School Dollars are redeemed, please use the online Redemption Website or the Hannaford Helps Schools app.
Do I have to shop at a specific Hannaford store to direct School Dollars to my school?
Using the Hannaford Helps School app or online redemption website, you can shop at any Hannaford and direct your School Dollars to any 2026 participating school of your choosing.
Can I participate in Hannaford Helps Schools through Hannaford To Go?
Yes! Shoppers can participate in Hannaford Helps Schools when ordering through Hannaford To Go. As you shop online, look for the red apple icon to find products that qualify.
Please note that School Dollars are not provided at pickup. Instead, about a week into May and again a week into June, Hannaford will email you a unique code reflecting the total School Dollars you earned in the previous month from qualifying purchases. You can redeem this code using the Hannaford Helps Schools app or on the redemption website. The redemption deadline will be extended to provide adequate time to redeem School Dollars earned through Hannaford To Go.
I do not see my school of choice as a selection for my School Dollars. How can I select my school?
If you do not see your school of choice in the 2026 list of schools you can support with your School Dollars, please submit your school for consideration to be included in the 2027 program by completing the school application form.
How can I tell if my school is registered?

How do I register my school?
You can register your school for the Hannaford Helps Schools program by completing and submitting the school application form. Registration for the 2026 Hannaford Helps Schools program closed on January 15, 2026. Applications submitted after that date will be considered for the 2027 program.
Are all schools eligible for Hannaford Helps Schools?
All K-12 schools may participate in Hannaford Helps Schools.
How can my school check the total earnings they will receive?
When counting is complete, Hannaford Marketing will email your school with payout totals and advise when checks will be distributed, generally in the November — December time frame. 2025 program earnings are now available here.
Is the Hannaford Helps Schools program part of My Hannaford Rewards?
No, it is not. Hannaford Helps Schools is a separate program, and you will need to set up a separate account to participate.
